Cookie Policy

Last updated September 30, 2026

In short: Shift only uses the cookies it needs to keep you signed in, plus a few settings saved on your device. No advertising or tracking cookies.

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small files a website saves in your browser. Browser storage (“local storage”) is similar and keeps settings on your device. This page lists what Shift uses and why.

2. Cookies needed to run Shift

Shift uses cookies from our sign-in provider, Supabase, to keep you signed in and to protect your account. Shift can't work without them, so they don't need your consent.

3. Settings saved in your browser

Shift saves a few settings in your browser's local storage so the app works the way you left it:

  • Light or dark mode.
  • Which business and ad account you last opened.
  • When you last visited, to show what's new since then.
  • Your progress through sign-up, if you leave partway.

These stay on your device and aren't used to track you. Clearing your browser data removes them.

4. What we don't use

Shift doesn't use advertising cookies, cross-site tracking, or third-party analytics cookies. If that changes, we'll update this page first and ask for your consent where the law requires.

5. Cookies set by other services

When you sign in with Google or pay through Stripe, you visit pages run by those companies, and they may set their own cookies, for example to prevent fraud. Their policies apply: Google and Stripe.

6. Your choices

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block the sign-in cookies, you won't be able to stay signed in. For more on how we handle information, see our Privacy Policy.
