Terms of Service

Last updated September 30, 2026

In short: Shift helps you understand and improve your Google Ads, and changes your account only when you approve. You're responsible for the changes you approve and your ad spend, which Google bills separately. Paid plans renew monthly and you can cancel any time.

1. The agreement

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and Shift (“Shift”, “we”, “us”) for using the Shift website and app (the “Service”). Our Privacy Policy, End User License Agreement, and Cookie Policy are part of these Terms.

By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you use Shift for a business, you confirm you have authority to accept them for that business, and “you” includes the business. You must be at least 18.

2. What Shift does

Shift connects to your Google Ads account, explains your results in plain language, and prepares suggested changes, keywords, ads, and campaigns. Changes are made in your Google Ads account only when you approve them.

Early access. Shift is new and still changing. Features may be added, changed, or removed, some may be labeled as early access, and the Service may have errors or downtime. We don't promise any particular availability during early access.

3. Your account

Give us accurate information, keep your password safe, and tell us right away at shiftteam404@gmail.com if you think someone else has accessed your account. You're responsible for what happens in your account.

5. AI-generated content

Shift uses AI to write explanations, suggestions, keywords, and ad text. AI output can be wrong, incomplete, or unsuitable for your business. It is not legal, financial, or professional advice. You are responsible for reviewing it, for the ads you publish, and for making sure your ads are accurate and comply with the law and Google's policies.

6. Plans, billing, and cancellation

Some plans are free and some are paid. Prices and what each plan includes are shown before you subscribe.

  • Automatic renewal. Paid plans renew automatically each month and are charged to your payment method through Stripe until you cancel.
  • Cancel any time. Cancel in Settings › Billing or by emailing shiftteam404@gmail.com. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you keep access until then.
  • Refunds. Fees already paid are not refunded, except where the law requires a refund.
  • Price changes. We'll email you at least 30 days before a price change takes effect. If you don't agree, you can cancel before it does.
  • Taxes. Prices don't include taxes unless stated; you pay any taxes that apply.
  • Test mode. While billing is in test mode, no real charges are made.

7. Your data

You own your data, including your business information and your Google Ads data (“Your Data”). You give Shift permission to use Your Data only to provide, secure, and improve the Service, as described in the Privacy Policy.

We may use aggregated information that can't identify you or your business (for example, how often suggestions are approved) to improve Shift. We never sell Your Data and never use your Google data to train AI models.

8. Acceptable use

Don't use Shift to:

  • Break the law or anyone's rights, or Google's policies.
  • Create ads that are false, misleading, discriminatory, or promote illegal products or services.
  • Access accounts or data you're not authorized to access, or try to get around security or usage limits.
  • Disrupt the Service, send malware, or overload it with automated requests.
  • Copy, resell, or reverse engineer the Service, or use it to build a competing product.

9. Our property and your feedback

Shift, including its software, design, and content (other than Your Data), belongs to Shift and its licensors. If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them freely without owing you anything.

10. Third-party services

Shift works with services run by others, such as Google, Stripe, Supabase, OpenAI, and Resend. Their own terms apply to your use of them, and we're not responsible for them. If a provider changes or stops its service, some Shift features may change or stop.

11. Ending the agreement

You can stop using Shift and delete your account at any time in Settings › Account, or ask us to. We may suspend or end your access if you break these Terms, don't pay, or create a security, legal, or operational risk. Where reasonable, we'll warn you first.

When your account ends, we delete Your Data as described in the Privacy Policy. Sections that by their nature should continue (such as disclaimers, limits of liability, and payment of fees owed) keep applying.

12. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent the law allows, Shift makes no warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don't guarantee any particular leads, calls, sales, rankings, ad approvals, or other results, or that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

13. Limits on liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Shift is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, or ad spend, even if we were told they were possible.

Shift's total liability for any claim about the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid Shift in the 12 months before the claim or $100. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you.

14. Indemnity

If someone makes a claim against Shift because of your ads, Your Data, or your breaking these Terms or the law, you agree to cover Shift's reasonable costs and losses from that claim, including reasonable attorneys' fees.

15. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Before filing a claim, please contact us so we can try to resolve it informally. Any dispute that can't be resolved will be handled in the state or federal courts located in California, and both of us agree to their jurisdiction.

16. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. If a change is significant, we'll tell you by email or in the app at least 14 days before it takes effect. Continuing to use Shift after that means you accept the new Terms. If you don't, you can cancel.

17. General

These Terms are the whole agreement between you and Shift about the Service. If part of them can't be enforced, the rest still applies. Not enforcing a part right away doesn't mean we give it up. You can't transfer these Terms without our consent; we may transfer them as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
